Chickens, Children and a Husband feature in some designs
Artist Vanessa Lubach studied Illustration at The University of Brighton graduating in 1990. Growing up in rural Oxfordshire, Vanessa always felt compelled to draw. At art school, she studied illustration but her real love was always painting and printmaking. She liked to draw what she saw which was consistent in her work.
Her linocuts are intricate and multi-layered and she would hand burnish them with a spoon. She now lives in Norfolk with her husband, three children, two chickens and a cat, who often appear as subjects in her work. Her chickens feature in the displayed tins, biscuit barrel and storage tin they would add a cheerful decoration to any setting.
