The Leopard 1 is a main battle tank developed by Germany in the 1960s. Over its service life, it underwent several upgrades, resulting in different variants. The A1A1 and A1A4 are two such variants, each with distinct features.

Leopard 1 A1A1: -

• Introduction: The A1A1 variant was introduced to upgrade the earlier Leopard 1 models in the 1970s.
• Armour: This variant saw the addition of new welded turret armour, significantly improving protection against anti-tank weapons.
• Gun Stabilization: The A1A1 was equipped with a better stabilization system for its main gun, the 105mm L7, enhancing firing accuracy while moving.
