Although the Shelby’s were fictional the Peaky Blinders were a street gang based in Birmingham, England, which operated from the 1880s until the 1910s their reputation was used as the basis for the BBC TV series.

Tommy Shelby leads the ever-powerful Peaky Blinders gang a particularly brutal bunch who expect no mercy and gave no mercy.
