1:72 scale model of a mid 9th century ocean going Viking sailing ship capable of raids on Britain and elsewhere.

Dating from late 9th century, the Gokstad was an ocean going vessel and was the type of ship which could have been used for the Viking raids on Britain and elsewhere. The Gokstad was primarily a sailing vessel and oars would most likely have been used mainly inshore when sails would be unwieldy or when there was little wind.
